Symmetry™ multiNODE-2 Controllers
Intelligent Modular Controllers

Symmetry™ multiNODE-2 ControllerThe Symmetry multiNODE-2 controllers utilize up to the minute surface mount technology, provide high levels of resilience from electrical interference and contain additional protection circuitry.

UL listed variants are available as an option, in hinged, lockable steel enclosures with integral power supply and tamper facility.

A Symmetry multiNODE-2 360 Elevator NODE is also available which can control up to 32 floors on an individual basis.

MDU-2 & MDU-4 Database Units

The Symmetry multiNODE-2 database units provide distributed processing for access control and alarms monitoring applications. When the MDU-2 or MDU-4 is networked with other Symmetry multiNODE-2 database units in conjunction with the software they form the basis of a fully integrated system. The MDU-2 and MDU-4 supports either hard-wired connections to a PC port or can be configured to communicate via a standard ethernet Local or Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN).

The MDU-2 and MDU-4 will also support "dial-up" modem reporting for those installations with remote locations requiring centralized administration.

2-DC Door Controller

The 2-DC door controller provides a means of extending an MDU-2 or MDU-4 to a maximum of eight readers. The 2-DC units interface directly with readers and provide all door control inputs and outputs. This configuration provides a lower cost alternative to adding more MDU's and reduces cabling cost, as only a single twisted pair cable is required to interconnect the units to their decision making MDU. This allows each 2-DC unit to be mounted local to the readers/doors it controls.

Option Modules

The MDU-2 and MDU-4 database units support an optional plug–in Network Interface Card (NIC) to allow direct connection to a Local or Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN). An additional RS-232 plug in interface module can be used within MDU-2 or MDU-4 database units to allow direct connection to a PC or dial-up modem.
